G&P M16A3 Any issues?

Jan 2, 2007 3:29am
So I have a CQB weapon. Now I need a long rifle larger outdoor games. I would like to get some type of AR-15 variant. Definitely want the long front for accuracy sake. Room for a large battery and a removable carry handle would be pluses. From the old posts you guys always seem to opt for TM. I haven’t found I haven’t a TM that fits the bill. The CA M15A4 looked good until I saw the G&P M16A3.

G&P are fairly good guns, for the price i would stick with CA if u want the full metal and all that, the newer gen CAs arnt to bad, alot of thier kinks have been worked out in the AR lineup.

I dont own a G&P rifle, but Andrew and many others have said that their internals are garbage

I think what grabbed my attention was that I could get the G&P in a choice of colors . 8) The price is basically the same, and I get an extra 30 FPS out of the box.

I have an LR 300 Prime built on a G&P internals. It sucked. Andrew could testify to this. Broken piston. Poor wiring. Bad hop. Wrong sized nozzle. I had to take it in each time for something different over a period of a few months. Probably okay now, since most of the internals where replaced. LOl. If Marui is a Lexus, and CA is BMW, then G&P is a Jaguar. Fun to borrow and ogle over, a b*tch to own lol.

I second that G&P internals are garbage. my friend was using a G&P Socom at the game on Dec. 30th at CQB and within half an hour the gun was messed up. and that's the first game it had been used at, and I was with my friend when it happened. He was not mistreating the gun or being too hard on it. actually he was being rather light with the gun but still it jammed. the problem is that when you first get the gun, it's great. and it stays great for a little while, so you write a review online proclaiming the gun to be highly accurate, etc, and then a few hours later, the thing dies.
I used to work in a bank... USED TO... apparently they don't like it when you take home samples.

Seems like a pretty solid consensus. If there aren't any rave reviews for the G&P I guess I ought to get a CA on order.

I'm kind of jacking my own thread here. But who better to do it?

When you havent really been playing much, theres no reason to get a really high fps gun. Get used to the sport first and get a feel for everything and then decide what you want in a gun and everything. Personally yeah I'd say get a stock CA M4 and a $38(after shipping from ehobby) red dot for it and just have fun with that for a while.
