Why did you choose airsoft over real firearms?
Question of the day. Airsofters are wiling to spend thousand $$$ into the hobby when they could purchase real firearms for less money in some cases.
I didnt. I indulge and waste money on items I dont really need in both hobbies and I enjoy every penny of it.

well i really hate CA gun laws and i dont see the need to have a fixe dmagazine in my Ar so i stick to airsoft as you can tell, but i might be moving to Utah when i get out so i might change my mind

because i'm mentally unstable to own firearms...
I choose to purchase both.
I am on the same page as Andrew I blow alot of money on both. Nothing beats buying real guns but you cant legaly shoot someone with a real one.
I fully intended to get myself a pistol for the range a while ago... but then i decided to get another airsoft gun, and another, and some gear, and some more useless junk i don't really need but it neat. But at the end of the day cuz i can shoot my friends and not get arrested. But i'll have my RS Sig 226 soon, if i can ever placate my airsoft wants long enough.
I enjoy playing soldier and shooting at people, but somewhere in the Big Book of Law it says that you can get in some trouble or something for shooting people with real guns.
Gun control is not Crime control.
well i think they are both hobbies, and people choose to spend money on something they enjoy obviously, if you enjoy firing some round onto a target be my guest, if you enjoy slinging some 6mm at ur buds then do that. i enjoy both, but spend money on airsoft because i already have alot of firearms at home.
you can pay for school but you cant buy class
I like em both equally I think.
just one phase leaps out at me "SHOOTING MY FRIENDS IN THE FACE IS COOL".....nuff said
i buy both well way more airsoft than real guns.
Dont fear the night....fear what hunts in the night.....USMC Scout Sniper
Because I was too young to buy real steel. Thats no longer the case and most of my airsoft stuff is gone gone gone.
In close range combat, an unsuspecting melon will get the back of its melon blown off.

I first got into airsoft because I was too young to purchase a real weapon. Furthermore, at the time, CA really did not allow what I wanted to buy anyway. I then found out that airsoft was a game (as opposed to just a type of gun). I got hooked, bought and built a ton of custom guns. In my opinion, I found that building the guns and having the "cool gun" at a game was often more rewarding then the game itself. I seemed to have a pretty good knack at making a cool aeg. It then hit me last summer that I could find legal ways to get what I wanted in real firearms so I've ditched my entire airsoft collection, cept for my patriot and 1911, to make (or hand build) a sweet real steel collection. I don't regret it one bit. I love both real steel and airsoft. I had invested lots of money in airsoft, luckily my guns were desired enough that 7 of the 10 aegs I used to own sold for 90% of their original purchase value. The money I got selling my airsoft stuff went immediately into real stuff. Airsoft and RS each have their place. Sometimes its fun to play soldier with other people. Sometimes its fun to put holes in paper, destroy watermelons, and riddle old computer monitors with lead.
I Really enjoy going out on the weekends with a group of friends or buddies to an airsoft game and just shooting the snot out of each other...I really do think that its the only thing that keeps me going the rest of the week haha. the only reason I yet to have any RS Weapons is because of my age, but that will change in a couple months when I am 18 and have my Springfield Socom 16 in my hands!
I Love My French Bulldog Cannoli!

i feel one cant really compare airsoft to RS they are IMO very diffrent, one can kill, one hurts, RS guns kick airsoft one click, u get my point? i love both i dont own that many guns, 2 is all, just enough to defend myslef from zombies, and i like to play soldier more than i like to shoot watermelons.
