I'm looking at upgrading it to 400-450 fps, but I need suggestions on what to get. What type of barrel could I use, and which silencer should I get? What parts do I need exactly? Oh yeah, I've heard about silent gears, but are they worth it?

I believe your going to want to upgrade the gearbox as well... A v2 won't handle 450fps very well.

if you wanna stick with an aeg, you prolly will want a progear reinforced mechbox with an m130 equivalent systema ftk. eventually though, the progearbox will break. As for barrel length, the longer the better. I'd say sig 550 or psg1 length systema or km tn barrel. then use an ops silencer or a qd silencer as a barrel shroud. better yet would be to get an sr-25 ff rail and silencer set. maybe also look into a dark knights kit with an extended silencer. you might want to use an sr-16 as the base since its routed to the back for batteries so you won't need to worry about that. unless you get a peq2 box or have some creativity, batts on the m4 ris are somewhat limiting. use a 9.6 1700 mah or above. to play with sacair you will also have to disable full auto. i think that can be done by just taking out or modifying the selector plate.

At least start out with an SR16, at least you'll have a full stock to store battery and balance out weight of rifle.

...AEG's that wanna be a sniper rifle are wack if you do want to go that route and dont mind about accuracy and distance..(then again its a sniper rifle youll want both of those) but anyways youll need lots, just get a systema pro gearbox, SR25 kit a 10.8 battery, disable full auto then get a PSG-1 tight bore BAM! after 2500+ bucks youll have a AEG platform'd sniper rifle =p...or put a M120 in your gun with some bushings, get a scope with some rings.....lol easy way to do it...if you want accuarcy and distance up to 200+ ft...get spring operated bolt action rifle..APS-2 then upgrade it..or get a Tanaka M24/M700..good luck

heard that the adjustable hop on the type 96 isn't that good. vsr gspec might be a good buy once more upgrades come out for it. if you can find an aps2 sv though, thats the way to go

yea i have that kokusai gas crimebuster(CO2 M4 sniper) but its worth a lot, Im going to ebay it soon.

you'll save money by just buying xyclos_b's aps2

crime buster will bust your pocket book...xyclos_b's rifle has been worked on by snoopy himself, that assures you it will fire straight (as a BB can) and get good distance..you did ask for our opinions ;) hehe. but yea everyone, including me, have tried the AEG sniper platform...i got a APS2..then a M40..then a M700 LoL...if you want accuracy and consistancy get a APS2 a spring operated rifle.

yea the CB costs bank... i need to get out of it, too much of an investment.
