Davis and airsoft
So there i was on the roof of my apartemnt complex shooting the AUG i bought from kmag the other day at cans in the middle area of the complex. We had just gotten done and came down and put it all away and as my friend is leaving a cop walks up and asks if we were on the roof shooting airsoft. Well i found out officialy that airsoft is illegal in the city of davis and you can be cited and the gun confiscated.
not trying to sound like an a** here, but you do live in davis, peoples republic of. I was just there last night at the grad. a friend of mine got a ticket because he made a turn and didn't realize (?) he was in the bicycle lane. It was 2:00 a.m.! not a friggin bike in sight!
Yeah, Davis is probably not the best place to be doing that. I went to school there, and one of my buddies got a speeding ticket.... On his bicycle....

yea i hear alot of crappy stories about the cops in davis being dicks but thus far i've never gotten a ticket for a noise violation when they were called on us or a DIP walking home from the bars. Definatly been lucky. Oh yea you can also get a DUI on your bike, and that "bike lane" by the grad has its own stop light that confuses everyone the first time. But at least my neighbors in the complex don't mind the guns....they stop by sometimes to ask to shoot my pistols.

speaking of bikes and bike lanes, back in 82 when i was stationed in japan, i almost got arrested by the japanese police for "drivin" my bike under the influence! fortunately my gunny was with me and convinced them that he'd take care of me. he did, a week of cleaning the "head", that's the bathroom for all you non-nautical folks out there! course the next week he got caught bangin his ol lady on the sea wall!!!!
General Rule, don't shoot in public. You'll help the legislature get their way and ban airsoft.
ya i live in davis and it sucks! cops are dicks, laws are strick, and the city is made for those stupid hippie bikers. my friend got arested for playing airsoft at the skate park, (i was with him but we ran, and he didnt). im not sure if he actually got arested or just taken to the police station. they didnt take away his gun because i guess they worked out a deal with his mom to keep it but only use it at an airsoft field. and yes, you can get a BUI, but you can get it anywhere in california. my brother got a "warning" for biking under the influence in long beach, but hes a cop, so he got off easy. and RCAS, where you live in davis? and whats your name? i probably know you and dont even know it.

I used to go to UC Davis takin EE but it got the best of me and i was too stubborn to change my major so i'll be moving to SLO next month to start a new. And names Richard Casavecchia, live in A st apartments. If you've ever gone into the cantina at night i've definatly checked your ID, i know more people from working there then going to davis (esp since EE doesn't have alot of variety when it comes to people in the classes)
=) ive got a story about speeding in something other than a car or a bike.
If there were hills in davis i'm sure drunken college kids would get speeding tickets and DUIs on Radio Flyers too :P . Speaking of Radio Flyers...i've seen a HUGE one someone built driving around with seats and a motor
that is too friggin funny! i can just picture some cop pulling ove a wagon! yeah, i think the big one is owned by someone associated with the Davis Graduate. It was there Saturday night when we were there.
One thing about shooting on the roof....laying down and sniping off the edge was alot of fun (would have been more fun if one of my friends was walkin up)
