I pulled out the barrel and a rubber sheath came with it as well as a very small rubber cyinder . Do you guys know where that very small piece goes and how it goes back in?

Thats the hop up "nubbin". Its the magical part that presses down on the hop bucking which presses down on your bb.

look closely inside the thin rubber piece. is there a line runnign trhough it? then look on barrel. on the barrel do u see a little line?
