Realistic Organization?
[quote="paintballbum2006"]addrian have you even shot a support weapon? I dont think so.... they suck to you cuase they dont have a M120, push the fps to the limits, have extreme range. But they do have unique style, feel, mag cap, and just fun. I love it my bros 249. You always look for 400fps in a rifle, get over that part, play harder to make up for the fps.
I'm glad to hear that the PIG did do its job, however I would also like some reliability and range out of a support weapon. When CA releases their M249 I am going to be very interested to see how they deal with the issues faced by all airsofters who have dealt with the TOP support weapons. Who knows, maybe this will force TM to get into the game, and force TOP to get off their ass, maybe then we'll see some support weapons for a good price, and with good quality.
I don't see why Tm hasn't done it yet. I mean come on, its a giant AEG right? Beef up the mechbox to sustain fullauto for long periods of time. Rig either an on weapon mag or box mags and use the same materials you do for the battle rifles. It's not that hard to think these things up. Or have I missed something? Like 70% of the guns are just plastice out of a mold right? The rest of the parts are pretty universal. TM is trying to get into the sniper aspect with the VSR-10. I think the should make a few LMGs and see how people like them. If they don't charge $800+ for them maybe people would be more into the full on squad aspect. I wouldn't mind having a reliable M60 or MG42 covering my back while the troops move in.
[quote="paintballbum2006"]well said ferg.
Ray's got the MOVES!
Who threw up the 4th Vote? Dave and I are doing it for sure. ERIN said he wants to, and plans to, however is not 100% confirmed as Dave and I are.
i would, just need to get my gun situation squared away, then the job item, then i'll be set

dave, they look awesome, have a unique feel, thats all good and dandy, but i saw ur bro's m249 shoot, and well, it sounded pretty stupid....that highpitched whine in a support weapon is not a worthwhile sound to hear when spending 1000+ dollars to buy a gun. plus, i dont push my guns to the limit....i never have dave. ur gun shot way below 400 even with an m120. i use only m100s. in addition to the m249/support crap, quite personally i think that spending another 300 dollars plus to upgrade it to be suitabe to live up to its appearance and name is completely idiotic. ive also heard stories of the TOP m60's and m249's crapping out a helluva lot. just my look on support weapons. yours are a lot different than mine, dave and ferg.
Toms 249 doesnt make a whining noise. It had a funny push-pop noise that i think sounds cool for a saw(although it isnt burly sounding)
dave here's the one i'm gettin

dave, dude we really should stop arguing. LoLz.....im sick of arguing on the internet with cool airsoft people....
[quote="Ferguson"] When you join the Army what is the first thing that they give you?
cfsboy: I'm not interested in playing an airsoft game with you, nor even meeting you. You put words in peoples mouth, or you twist their words, to prove your points that end up going no where. I ask that you leave what we are trying to do alone. If you want to contunie to spam our thread and bash our idea.
[quote="cfsboy"] Is medic 23 part of this group? If that is typical of the mindset and leadership without experience, I'll pass.
[color=red][size=18]"I only regret that I have but one life to give for my country."
Come on just leave the negativity dude... just ignore them and they won't keep repeating it..
I don't know that csfboy was trying to be rude, but just pointing out a few things. I think that we all need to not jump to the defensive on different issues. We need to just listen to what people have to say and argue the point from there, not just outright dismiss it. I just think that is a hallmark of sac air in general. I know that I'm never going to change that, but it would be nice for a few of us to take the high road.
I know he wasn't trying to be rude, but he has twisted and turns peoples words since he joined the forum... Every post has been taking what people say out of context... I see no point in defending myself or my views over and over again.... I think it is rediclous and insane... I can't even imagine how he can have a conversation in person... if he can't comprehend what I'm typing in text, without changing it around, how is he going to hold any form of conversation.
I haven't read any of his previous posts, so I can't speak to that.
Anyways, Back on to topic:
I'm not really into the patch on the helmet. Originally in WWII it was not an actual unit patch, but a sub-designation of a unit within a unit. As for the modern forces using the 3rd ID patch on their helmets, I think that a commander somewhere just wanted to be different, as that is not a true form of wearing the patch. It is not addressed anywhere in AR 670-1 which is the Army Regulation covering the wear and appearance of the Army uniform.
how about the white trash patch i used to wear on my BDUs?
Well, the bright blue would have to go, do it in OD with the black background.
Zach, found a really good, U.S. V patch that was OD/Black, it looked really good. Not sure what unite it was though.
Scan it, and post it. I'll see if I can find out. I'm pretty good like that.
He showed it to me from a website, don't remember the url.
The other thing you need to know is that there are some "unit" patches out there that are not recognized by the Army. They were made up by a unit, and were a limited production run, so if you find something like that the only way to actually get the patch is to get a GOOD picture of it, and take it to a custom patch maker. Then its going to cost a good bit of money, plus you are going to have to get a minimum of 100 patches made.
I found it in my history...
That looks like something that was made up, I've never seen that unit patch, but I'll take a look to see if maybe it was a true designation.
I want your guys input on using the 8th Infantry division as our name, and unit patch. The unit was inactivated 17 January 1992, after serving in the Gulf War, where it was stationed in southeastern Kuwait, on the border with Saudi Arabia. During World War 2 they liberated the Wobbelin concentration camp, and suffered 18,000 casualties. The Division had taken a major part in the Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland and Central European campaigns.
