Is there anyone out there who has any experience acquiring a build permit? I'm interested in buying and building up a decent size plot but don't have any idea what it would cost to develop it. One of those things where you don't know enough to know what you don't know.

All I know is you have to go talk to the county snd buy as building premit but you have to have a contractorn draw the plans first.
I figured. Does anyone know if ya need a permit to bring in those big ole portables? Like what they're using for classrooms now? Somehow I think that'd be cheaper.

it will take a lot, first the ground has to be inspected, then after you level it that has to be inspected, then plans (blueprints) have to be approved and that sucks cause the city or county offices mainly blow. Not to leave out the contractors you would need to level the ground (unless you have a grader and know how to use it ) But of course this is the legal way to do it.
you will need lots of money. There's application fees just for permits which isn't always guaranteed. You'll need a building permit, electrical, water and mechanical permits.

I have had experience with this a few times. What a pain in the ass. Be prepaird to spend a lot of time with a building inspector.
YAY! A new airsoft field to be made right before the airsoft ban!
Sounds like fun. I think I'll manage.
