oh im not saying that, if too people of equal skill played against each other, and one had a better gun than the other, the guy with the better gun would win, but since that most people are either better or worse than the person next to them skill is what matters most, but yes an upgrade can give you somewhat of an advantage.

Go the internal route. Pay a little to get a well shimmed gear box with metal bushings. I go through gear boxes like crazy, doesn't matter who builds them. I go through 5000 bb's a game at least. I LOVE to lay down bb's. The gun could look great but if the internals go you are done for the day. Same goes for the batterey get at least one back up. I use nothing less than 3000 mah. I hate running out of juice or bb's. Which leads me to the last point get mags. Whether you are a standard or a box mag guy have plenty of what you are using again you run out of bb's or have to reload a mag during fire fight sucks and then you let down the rest of your team. Then after all that get what ever you can afford. But honestly it is not worth building custom pieces anymore. When I first started you had to no other options but now you can get a great gun full metal with flip up sights and what not for under 400. You get am4 with a metal body for under 300. These guys that build custom now are going for a cool style but ask any of them if it is really cost effeciant or is it just bad ass!
