All alone he turns to stone

This is from a post on Socal Airsoft regarding AEX LA Hiring. I would assume that the requirements would be the same for any AEX.

Dude get a job that can carry over into adluthood. A few can make a living selling airsoft but you can count them on your hand.

airsoft is fun an all but if you promote it beyond just hobby to occupation, airsoft will lose its appeal.

Ok thanks guys. All this is very true!

+1 bordin, money ain't everything, what I am saying is there is alot out there so go for it. I always go for the stars in my dreams, even if you do not make it it is a cool place to be. I did that with skateboarding, crew, bicycles and now pistol comps, still haven't broke top ten yet, but got 17th out of 39. not bad for my second meet. Anyway go big!

I'm going to school to be a firefighter when I get out of high school.I'm 17 right now but turning 18 soon!
Feb 4, 2007 9:18pm
+1 to the intern thing.
Feb 5, 2007 3:43am
you could also go into a trade (mechanic, electrician, plumber, etc, etc.) those may not sound fun, but they make a lot of money, because good ones are hard to find, so they can charge alot of money for there services.
Feb 5, 2007 4:03am
Yea I don't knmow airsoft seems like a waste of money sometimes but good other times.Thats why I don't know if I could work there but I'm probably going to school to be a firefighter because you get paid good and benefits!
Feb 5, 2007 4:33am
dont be a firefighter for pay and benefits. Ive done it, been to school for it. COuld do it again but i didnt like it. While your in school go get your EMT NOW and i dont want to hear i dont want to be an EMT u have to have it even for BLM or CDF. THen work for AMR for about 2 years. 90% of every single calls you run are medicals for any full time department. Then while u do that get your AA or BS in fire tech. Now save up about 10 grand and go get you Paramedic license, it will take aobut a year. Have fun.

Feb 5, 2007 6:00am
Yea thats where my bro In-law works. You might not like it though firefighting isn't for everyone.Even if you are getting paid alot money isn't everything escpecially if you don't like your job.I've come to know that.

It's always seem so easy and clear cut when you're that age. You may understand what it is needed but sometimes your body and or your mind doesn't. Actions speak louder then words kids. It's an overused and overheard cliche but so damn true. Yes, yes you're motivated, and know what you're doing we've all been there and done that. There's a reason why age limits exist (hint...hint). Unfortunately, there are things beyond your control. Like say budget, positions available, yada yada yada. You may see the money but ya don't see the wole enchilada.
