[i] I just finished reading Starship Troopers again by Robert A. Heinlein. Every time I do, I can't help but find myself in agreement with Mr. Heinlein's political views. I look at this country we live in and every day hear and see people wanting the trappings of our nation but not the cost at which those trappings come.

I would love for that idealism to happen but in reality we reside within a nation of spineless politicians whom have their noses buried up Wall Street's ass and want's to be as politically correct as possible 24/7.

mocking you I would never do such a thing. Actually, I haven't read a book in ages and this might actually get me to do so. As for criminals serving in the military. It's not a very good idea, criminals will have a much greater potential to do more harm then good. They're more likely to desert, turn-sides, and commit immoral acts during times of war or peace. I believe there was a study that showed during the Vietnam war a large percentage of deserters and serious military infractions was done by soldiers with a large criminal past. Their mentality and moral values aren't high as it is. Sure they make good killing-machines and cannon fodder, but at what price to the overall morale and image of the military unit/branch they serve in?

I've read too many books which was butchered by hollywood. Even Dr. Seuss was butchered. But I take it with a grain of salt usually and just soak up the eye candy that hokeywood usually makes up for.

I picked my nose once and passed out. I guess I should have picked it more?
