systema rifles

Feb 11, 2007 4:00am
Ok so these are bad ass rifles but how do we keep them within sacair rules? Some of them stock are in the 350's but the majority are 450+ not to mention it is way to easy to switch springs. So speak up, I am leaning towards taping the body. If the tape is altered they are out of there. But then that measn we have to check the guns after every skirmish. I have already ran into this with ICS m4's. Erik

the ptw is a little harder to cheat with. Meaning that while it is easier to swap springs out. The spring, piston and cylinder is swapped out as a single unit, sort of like the bolt carrier group on a real one. They are color coded and I believe are not modifiable. IE you'd destroy the unit if you try to open it up to swap out the springs inside.

i think thats what he meant when he said bout switching springs.

I believe we are going to tape them. But then again if these things are shooting over 400 then they have to be semi only with full auto completly disabled. Who is going ot do that with a $1200 gun

That's just going to add to the difficulty in hosting games and for more people to be truly honest. Nobody is going to want to only shoot in semi after spending that much money like mentioned above but honest players will adhere to those rules.

its kinda sad someone would do that. (swap springs for 450 fps) wouldent the average person feel mildly bad after they pulverize some kids safty glasses and blind them? sheesh. people are insensitive. lol.

Each cyl is color coded which can be seen by opening the ejection port. black is a m90, blue is a m110, yellow is a m130, and red is a m150...if that helps.

Systema Gen III PTWs come with a MS90 "Black Cylinder". Shoots roughly around 340-350 fps. The Max PTWs come with the red cylinder shooting over 500s.

cheaters should be subject to a firing squad by their own weapon. Shot in the bare ass at approximately 30-50 ft away. When they feel the pain they won't cheat again!!
Next thing I was thinking about, Richottes. Last game at the hill I was laying in a crack and this guy was just spraying me with richottes. The first I did not call out, I think it was the second time but it may have been the third burst that I had enough and called hit. What do you guys think of changing that rule?
I don't know it may have been. But it feels like I am cheating beacause the bb's ARE hitting me even though off of the rocks. Either way I do not know. That is why I am asing it.

As for taping that seems the only viable option at this point.

I think we should call all Richottes because if we say they dont count, then there will be alot of arguing and cheating saying "no no that last one was a Richotte" and shit like that..Thats what I think

Yeah it is a rough one, but I hate it when guys do not call hits through bushes or trees because of this ( I am guilty of this when I was first playing but now I call them).

Well, I thought any time a BB hit you through the bushes, twigs, etc it's still a hit... It's not considered a richocet. That's what I always thought. If you are in line of sight from your enemy and they are shooting through bushes, you were out. Now if you were by a rock and there was no other way the bbs were hitting you but bouncing off a rock, you weren't out. ?? I don't know, my 2 cents.

but then you'd have to define what a ricochet is too then. How many bounces? I mean a bb could a branch above you and basically trickle down and hit you. Or a bb hits a rock and dribbles down and over and hits you.

do not forget the rock can be on top of you too so that hit to your back was that a direct hit or a bounce? Like in my case it was on top and in front of me as I was inside the crack a little.

the problem is people are going to argue no matter what. Whatever is decided I think that some common sense needs to be included. Like the bb has to hit with some decent force. Meaning it can't feel/sound like it just dropped on you.
