Are you absolutely certain the CA gearboxes were designed without looking at the inside of a TM gearbox?

no i never said that, im sure they did a little reverese engerinering. but for the most part their gear boxs are their own designs. Maybe in afew years the UTGS will be kinda as good as a CA but i dont think so. nothing beats the original.

We're talking about the inferiority of clones. I'm just stating that Tokyo Marui is about the only producer of AEG's that isn't a clone. Yet, no one knocks CA as inferior. My bigger point is that an AEG made by whoever should be judged by its performance, not by its origin of design. I'm the owner of a CA Aug A1 that had defective gears. No problem, AEX fixed it under warranty. Have I given up on Classic Army as total junk? No.

i call CA inferior compared to TM, whenever i end getting a CA i always replace the stock parts with an stock TM parts i have laying around, that includes, gear, cyclinder and piston

OK, so if its fair to say a chinese AEG costs about $150, and a TM or CA costs about $300, we're talking half as much for the chinese right? I also think it's fair to say that someone starting out in the sport will get more than half the performance for their $150. Just trying to establish a little perspective and hopefully get some agreement that even the lowly chinese guns have a place for those who can't go the TM freight, but want to blast something, now.

Nope, not a retailer, but flattered. Just an owner of CA & UTG & soon, TM. I was wondering how far I could get reasonable discussion to go before the auto-flame kicked in. Nice while it lasted.
