It would look freakin' sic with a Schmidt and Bender Short Dot but I don't think you'd want to spend $2100 for a brand new one.

everything looks great except the g&p iron sights. If you don't want to spend $250 for the real troy sights get the bomber knock off from uncompany $85 for the set. Ten the look will be complete.

yea i was planning on picking up some troy replicas but when i was at aex i snagged up the iron sights in the spur of the moment. after the eotech comes in i'll most likely pick up some troys and put the current sights on another gun.

Not to threadjack but a teammate of mine completed a PTW Larue Afghan a while back. Yours brought back memories.

I agree with Andrew, just close the ejection port and give it a solid tan on the body, I personally like the rail covers painted and not the RIS, gives a cool contrast w/o hurting the camoflauge.

I could be wrong but it looks like he was going for the faux look (like it was already worn). Looks good though.

the guarder clear bucking was a little cheaper haha. i didn't want to overpaint the afghan because i did that to my old m4 and i wasn't too fond of the solid layers of paint. i feel that the thin, dusting layers keep that operator, paint that shizz quick look. i liiiiiiike. gives it more character :lol:
