usp compact adjustable hop up

Mar 22, 2005 2:08am
I have a kwa/ksc USp compact.. it has a metal slide and a threaded barrel with the knights armament silencer from AEX. the problem i have is that there is wayyyy too much hop up. no matter how much i adjust it, its always too much. even when the hop up is set to zero. how can i fix this? i can take pics if you guys need it to help me out. but any help is much appreciated.. thanks

What weight are you using for your BBs? Have you tried .25g bbs?

im using .20... id like to stay that way. and the hop up is just way too much even though its on zero.. it literally curves upward right away

Had the same problem with my USP tactical. It is a fixed hop but still only on cold days with green gas can I use .20's. on a hot day even .30's will curve up. Might want to try a different gas, different bb's, or you could just sell your gun to me (j/k).

any help? another fact i may add is that i checked the hop up... it does adjust when i twist it. i guess its the same kind of adjustable hop up that the mac11 GBB has. this is really wierd... it looks like there is no hop up but the thing just curves up like crazy... too innaccurate

Well if there is a hop-up unit on the gun, turn it all the way down. Shoot with your .20 g bbs and see the result. If it still curves up, then try heavier bbs, if that doesn't work, try a different type of gas or a different type of combination. Just like Kaneda said.

Try lighty lubing up the barrel and the hop up. Fire several mags through it and see if there is any difference. It's also possible that the ball bearing used to create the hop up could be too big?

yea thats what i was thinking... where can i find a smaller one?

take the bearing out from the hop assembly...then you'll have a fixed hop set for .20g BB...
