It's sad...

· Supreme ChancellorMar 14, 2007 6:53am
...what this site has come to. Im on here multiple times a day. Mostly just reading BS or talkin poop to friends. PM's and classified ads are awesome as well. But this is what is sad: Every stupid kid on here thinks its the cool thing to do to flame anyone who asks a question. Look at me! I can say 'use the f*cking search button.' Look at me, 'it took the same amount of time to flame you as it would have to help you.' I understand the frustration of answering the same question over and over; and even more so when people dont listen to sound advice. But god d*mn, do you feel offended by it? Are you that much of a keyboard commando? Do you feel better?

i agree, why give adivce or ask for it. I get ignored which is annyoing but people just falme for no reason. It really hurts this sport and the site.

andrew,I agree TOTALLY.I,too, was oging to start a thread like this,bt was scared of getting flamed by one of these kids, and all hell would break loose.I was just browsing a thread where another member asked about brands, and it turned into a fight with unneccesary photos. :?

its fun to flame people if you know the person like rap he knows me and iam a dork in real life as well here he can flame me but we should know how far to take it Andrew is right as the day is long

maybe members need an invite from seasoned members, especially after they go to some games and get to know the community firsthand instead of joining up and showing who's boss. my 2 cents

I have not been here that long but compared with other forums, the flaming here is minimal. I believe that's due to the fact that most people here know each other and most aren't 12 year old keyboard commandos as mentioned before.
Check out my FS thread! Lots for sale!

You just got killed by a Daewoo Lanos...How You like me now?

I've never flamed anyone nor plan on doing so. Usually I'm the one getting flamed (remember the Heaven vs. Hell thread?). Even then I didn't flame back. I thought I was fairly reasonable there.

u said due to the fact lol hehehehe i said that in biology freshman year in high school and i was sent out of class i was being good too lol

i've been noticing this too. it does make an unfriendly place for the good/honest people who are trying to make a start. i generally try to answer questions when i can but do admit to flaming on occasion. Sometimes flaming is kinda necessary when the same person asks the same questions over and over again and is rude/lacking in etiquette when doing so. but yeah, other than that, i've been noticing regular new players being flamed even when they ask a polite question...which sucks.

You won't have to bend my arm into an arm bar to make me agree with you Andrew.

Certain questions don't warrant an irate response, but some individuals simply refuse to comprehend any information.
Mar 14, 2007 8:21am
This happens on all forums. Sadly it varies on the individual and the greater the number of people, the more of the chance you'll get those individuals.
