It's sad...
LOL, I read this and laughed. We use to play in jeans and t-shirts. Only a few guys had camo of any kind. If you read my old posts I am big supporter of just being yourself and not some "poser". It is expensive to get into the sport, if you follow the trends and listen to what they guys talk about. But if you just buy a used aeg and a highcap it is not so bad. I used to carry bb's in a spare waterbottle in my pocket and just fill my highcap as needed. No blackhawk tac vest, converse tac boots, ess goggles, sas dump pouch, camleback etc. ( man I spend too much)

+100 for Eric
Seek the Narrow Gate, for the path is broad and the gate is wide that leads to destruction.
...what this site has come to. Im on here multiple times a day. Mostly just reading BS or talkin poop to friends. PM's and classified ads are awesome as well. But this is what is sad: Every stupid kid on here thinks its the cool thing to do to flame anyone who asks a question. Look at me! I can say 'use the f*cking search button.' Look at me, 'it took the same amount of time to flame you as it would have to help you.' I understand the frustration of answering the same question over and over; and even more so when people dont listen to sound advice. But god d*mn, do you feel offended by it? Are you that much of a keyboard commando? Do you feel better?
Next I HATE peeps who complain on grammar usage. Who fricken cares I am not going to use a thesaurus and a crammer book everytime I write a post.
Well part of this is my fault. I was in a bad mood over the CW drama last spring and I startred flaming the crap out of the noobs for little to no reason. I strated noticeing the "noobs" once they hit 30 days or 100 posts would turn on the next "Noob" and flame the crap put of the guy. All most a year later it still continues. I set a poor example for the new members to site and gave the new guys the idea that was how this board was run. Now we have guys who don't even own airsoft gun/never played trashing anyone who leaves them selves open.
I shoot Table Gypsies on sight!
all of us are a bunch of retards
if you try to fail but you suceed which do you do?
I feel bad after flaming somebody for something really minor. new people shouldnt be treated poorly for being new and not knowing what theyer talking about.
Iââ¬â¢m a noob. I joined Sacair about 6 months ago, and got a little toasty from a ââ¬Ëwhat should I buyââ¬â¢ thread. I also got a lot of good information, from those that took pity on the n00b. The flames have kept me in lurker mode since. The flaming here really isnââ¬â¢t that bad. I donââ¬â¢t feel scared for life. Iââ¬â¢ve just been trying to learn enough to know when Iââ¬â¢m making a stupid comment. :)

those are all good ideas, but unfortunately with a lot of people, we all have egos, and think we are special. So going out of our way to find out information (especially if we are a teenager) isn't going to be our first inclination. We are going to assume that people are going to cater to us, as our parents do, and hand us the information.
As a newbie, I can only say that I have tremendous respect for the older members of SacAir that built this growing airsoft community brick by brick, stone by stone. You gentlemen have my thanks because you guys created a safe (however subjective word given my experience at the NAM parking lot gearing up) and fun environment for people to play airsoft, which by that single act, have discouraged others from playing in schools, neighborhood parks and streets as they have a place to go to for organized games. As for the flaming, I can only say that respect is a two way street, if a person should act in a very disrespectful manner online/in real life, I will warn him of his misdeed, but I can only tolerate so much disrespectful behavior before I take action to resolve an issue. The bottom line is, I appreciate the existence of this community and will do everything I can to keep it structurally sound, which includes to refrain from useless flaming.
My best advice for new airsoft players:
haha lineman you type very well.
im so guilty of flaming noobs when im a noob myself, i think everyone can learn from each other. even the most experienced players.
you can pay for school but you cant buy class
