get the AK but go with CA if you are a typical kid you will fall and break plastic lol ca is all metal i wouldnt get a sniper for your first gun stick with Ar's or m4's or ak somthing sturdy and reliable
Depends on what you want to do when you play. Close Range? Long Distance? Cause I read the rules and you aren't allowed to shoot someone with a sniper rifle if they're closer than 100 ft for safety reasons (obviously). And have you done any research on them yourself before asking here? Just asking.

+1 u cant compare a single shot sniper to a full auto AK, but get a TM, CA aks have sh itty V3 geaR BOXS where as TM have great V3 boxs. TM are the best. Dont get the VSR they are hard to upgrade.
rap u going sat?? to the hill
negative to much family stuff, i got to meet the GFs priest dad lol oh well i want to end of marrying her ne way.
AK those things are awesome...there are unlimited possibilities for that AK-47. Yet there are a few upgrades for the G-spec, mostly internal, but you should really roll with what you like, I roll with an Upped AK and an APS2, which has been in AEX for 3 1/2 weeks...<-- i don't know why.

CA motors ahve been getting better but they are whinny
If i bought the ak and put a scope on it would it be considered a sniper rifle?
commander what school do you go to?
no dont bother with a scope on a AEG u wont need it, and dont sniper airsoft. Snipeing in airsoft is different than real life let me leave it at that
HAHA, i have a scope on my AK, it has a psg-1 tightbore in it.

Some newcomers may think that sniping is really cool...but when the game comes, they find it kinda boring.

go with the AK hands down, dont get a sniper for your first gun
Well...I have no experience with the VSR10. I have owned a nice APS2, and it was cool. However I found that the sniper thing was not for me. Now the TM AK I have owned 3 in different forms. I LOVE EM they ROCK PERIOD. They are solid out of the box and they have dam good range for a stock gun. They have a far better hop unit than the M4 type and they have a V3 gear box, and from my experience it is a much better box than the V2(stronger). You have a TON of aftermarket parts and conversion kits to pimp them out they way you want.

God you got that 300 dollar kit, i was about to do the same but add a silencer on it and get a pro arms attachable rail thing in the back. THat would be some KICKASS Firepower.

Go with the AK, if your new to airsoft it's best to go with an AEG to start with. I started with a TM M16A2, but later decided that that wasn't my style of play. I chose the sniper role and honestly I love it. I don't like the "spray 'n' pray" attitude of most airsofters. I like firing one shot and knowing that itll hit my target 75 yards away 100% of the time. Sniping does cost a lot of money, especially spring sniper rifles, to get them up and running to a superior quality than an AEG. The G-spec does have a great hopup but honestly, it's going to cost you an arm and a leg to upgrade it and get it consistant. I use my M40A1 and I love the thing. I'll take it out onto the field 9/10 times rather than my CA M15A4 RIS. Sniping isn't for beginners, for a sniper rifle to work consistently you need to spend a lot of time and energy breaking down your rifle to get to know everything about it, putting it back together and zeroing it in at a range you know you'll hit 100% of the time. It's not something that you can just say "Im gunna be an Ub3rL337SnPr! and have a lazer rifle to hit 300 feet out." No. It doesn't work like that. Stick with the AK, it won't let you down.
