Women in Combat
there are woman in combat. Just none with a combat mos. I agree with juic3box. There are some hardcore woman out there, i'm saying they couldn't handle it. It's the fact that in a combat mos (all guys), you have to live in harder conditions, be completely focused on the mission, be able to kind of shut off your emotions, and just pretty much beable to drive on no matter what.
Most sniper instructors in the Isreali army are women. In WII the Soviets used women with great success in combat as well. Integrating them with male units is the greatest challenge.
...women are more susceptable to rape...
Like Talon said the Russian Army had entire female sniper units, and the were greatly feared by the german army.
I shoot Table Gypsies on sight!
Lol, true but she was exiled and upon return she was killed. (Im pretty sure.) But thats not the point, she got some good kills im sure of it. Thanks again. What do you think about homosexuals in the war on terror?

As long as they would have my back or the back of someone in their unit, it doesn't matter if they are gay.
True, but they lower effiency and are prone to rape. Women are also proven to be ~50% weaker than men and produce stressed relationships along with many other distractions. THey also cost more to produce and studies show that 10-15% of women in combat are pregnant, thus altering effiency and raising costs to support them.
PREEEEEEEEEECH IT BROTHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
All I am saying is it is on a total case to case basis. Each person is different, hell my Girlfriend is a lot tougher, more independent, more outgoing, and smarter than a lot of guys I know. and the sheer fact that these "Exceptions" as some of you call them even exist, should be evidence enough on the ridiculousness of statements insinuating contrary.
No, i did not take these FACTS from polls, these were studies conducted by other reputable people.

Why do we need to discuss something so controversial?
my history teacher said he doesnt support it because women can distract the men and cause issues . That was a year ago and I still think hes stupid but he does bring up the fact that some men that cant control themselves can cause trouble when theirs women.
Im already here so somebody's gotta die....
it doesnt really affect me *directly*. whoever wants to serve can serve

If you agree with women being in combat or disagree with that is a moot point at this rate,it is a certainty that women already have and will continue to go into harms way. The sooner people let go of preconceived cultural stereotypes is another story.Personally it doesn't matter to me, I just want someone that will watch my back in a fight or lead when needed if they are qualified, reguardless of gender.

w0rd iif your bored google that shit, WOW they kick ass and they are smokin hot!!
a woman is just as much a citizen of this country as any man is and she enjoys just as many rights and benefits and by this argument i say women belong on the battlefield just as much as any other dude.

Isnt this country about being united as one. And standing together for the the same cause. It shouldnt matter if you're gay, or straight, or a woman. Of course it would be extremely difficult to get women actually out fighting in an infantry unit, with all of the politics and what not.
I don't have an opinion on this situation. I just wanted to hear yours. Thank you

This is a pretty well debated issue... I will never say that a women in combat cannot preform like a man, sure they tend to be weaker physically but they can still fight and fight well, women are not the problem, men are the problem, there would be too many sexual harrassment charges coming from women who are forced to share the same foxhole as men, men will have to see women be killed which would really mess with thier mind, more so than seeing other men killed, pregnancy would go up in the military even more than it is right now, women would have to be exacuated from the front lines all the time for becoming pregnant, women who dont know they are pregnant would eventually be killed at some point, women require certain sanitary items men do not and this would interfere with supply on the frontline. Mothers would have to see thier daughters being killed and not just thier sons, these are just a few reasons. History has taught us that women can preform in combat almost as well as any man, but history has also taught us that women are normally only used when a country is being overrun, and god forbid the time we would ever be forced to send our women off to combat operations. War is a terrible business and men on the frontlines would have the problem, not the women. I am not a sexist, I think men and women are very equal, but if we have a combat force made of men that is big enough and has a steady flow of new soldiers coming in, why send our women too? Let them serve, but not in combat.
