stroke
My grandpa is in the hospital right now because of a stroke, he has been there for six days and all the doctors say it was a mini stroke he cant stand up on his own he cant walk or eat by himself my family and i are at the hospital all day helping him we feed him and help him stand up and walk when he first went to the hospital he said his legs felt like led and his left arm was numb when we first brought him to the emergency room they checked his blood pressure and it was 226 because of all the stress of going to a hospital because he hates hospitals. They had him sleep in the emergency room for one night because they didn't have a room for him. Then the next day they got him a room but the nurses were terrible. When he was moved in there he was meant to be put on bed rest for 2 days but they screwed up and made it 3 days because they wrote the wrong thing down on their list and that didn't help him. Then they tried to give him a breathing treatment but it was for another patient. Then when we asked for a nurse to take his blood pressure she had an attitude and said to us "no i have to do this and then that" she said that until my dad screamed at her and she finally went in to check and it was still high so they had to give him blood pressure pills to keep it at 140 but his idiot doctor wanted to double the dose and make his blood pressure 118 and he cant function that low when he was that low at the hospital he was limping on his left side he was like a ragdoll. That hospital has so many screwups they moved him to a private room and the nurses were more attentive to him in every hospital on the bedside there is a buzzer thing so you can talk to the nurse, when we press it the nurse wont come for another 45 min, but when they moved him to the private room they cared more and we dont know why. There has been to many screwups that when he comes back home were complaining but if anything goes wrong were sueing. Just hope and pray that he will be ok.

i have more news. we brought him home 3 days ago but now things are worse he cant stand if he does he'll lean and fall over he cant move his left arm and leg and also when i came over to visit some terrible was wrong he didn't know where he is or what happened and then he started cussing everyone out! In a stroke it can cause a personality change... he was calling his wife a son of a b**** and telling my mom (his daughter) that she wasn't his daughter and he kept on saying to everyone the h*** with you people the way you treat me my mom asked how do we treat you and he said i don't know and he also saying "your al out to get me your all going to kill me". but he's only mean at some parts of the day in the morning hes not afternoon he is. Also he cant stay awake when we tried to wake him up one time we couldn't it was like he was in a choma. Also he asks everyone why he can't walk he syas " i came in to the hospital walking why cant i walk out". right now i just came back to my house i was pushing him around in his wheelchair making him move his legs and arms. I dont know whats wrong with him i just want him to be better.
We are actually studying and treating stroke patients in our Physical Therapy program. Personality and mood changes are common. One of our instructors had a dad that was a devout Christian and who never said any bad words. After the stroke he talked like a drunken sailor. It really saddened the family to hear him talk like that. Just dont take it personally. Your grandpa cant help it. His brain will take a while to adjust, and hopefully the personality changes will get better. It wont completely go away, but it may get better.
we are going to put him in a nursery home. also when he's mad he keeps on saying "i want to go back to the hospital not here" and also my grandma is going to divorce him when we send him to the nursery home.
