Quick question from a noob.

Mar 19, 2007 12:30am
OK I have a TM M733 that I just purchased and I want to convert it to a sniper. What are some of the better (less costly) solutions to my problem. Maybe some type of red dot, bi pods, springs etc... I live in sac and close to aex maybe they have some equiptment for me. Or would the net be my best option? Just a quick question from a noob.

you buy a m733, to convert to a sniper.

I am also a newbie, but I will tell you that you won't be able to "snipe" people with your M733 in an airsoft game like in the real world as sniping in airsoft is very different from real world sniping. That said, I'm assuming that by "sniper" you mean that you want more range out of your rifle, which will require more internal upgrades rather than external. A finely tuned AEG will shoot far, esp with a good hop up system. SacAir restricts the muzzle velocity of all AEGs capable of shooting in full-auto to be under 400 Feet per second with .20 gram bbs. So in short, if you want more range, focus on internal upgrades first, however I would recommend that you play with the gun stock for a bit and learn the skills of playing airsoft, maybe get a red dot sight for your rifle to help you acquire your targets, but there's really nothing wrong with running a stock gun. You should also know that when you upgrade the internals of your rifle you should be careful since upgrading a gun will increase the wear and tear even more than normal. I hope you have a good time playing airsoft (you made the first good choice by going with a TM,BTW).

It won't be easy. Not to mention the $ involved to do a good job.

+1 u wont be able to "snipe" with that, use it for what its worth. A dam good assult rifle. Just come out and play. Maybe someone with a real airsoft sniper will let u run with it for a game and u can learn what it takes to snipe in a real airsoft game. After that you will want a full auto AEG that shoots 350 lol. I know i am speaking form experince of seeing noobs such as yourself buying an AEG, upgradeing to "sniper" abilities. Then selling it cause they dont like it. Hope I helped. If u have ne more questions hit me up on AIM MSN or PM;s

Wow, I actually posted something useful for once... hooray! Seriously come out and play a few games, get a feel of your weapon and its capabilities, and then decide. Oh and it's not all about the gun you know the one that uses the gun also plays a factor

Hey thanks you guys for that great advice. I actually was out there this weekend at the Hill and then we went to the CQB field. Ihad the funnest time out there with some of you from sac airsoft. I was the new guy in jeans and a t-shirt. I have played paintball for the longest time and I realized how much I was spending. I said to myself that I'am not going to spend all that money again ( But I know I will) I know that my gun has great potential, it has an amazing rate of fire! And I want to thak all that took time to give me some great advice. Sniping is a little bit more than I expected. Haha. Thanks again and see you out there some time soon

If you really are interested in sniping then hang out with snoop hands down the best we have, when he wants to be. But for the most part he just laughs and eats while he plays but if he gets serious look out. He can and will stay in one spot for a whole game and you will never see him but h will get his kills in. I hate sniping I can't hit anything anyway plus it is way too methodical for me. But if you can do it you will be an in demand player but there are really only few here.
