aug issues
ok, so i traded this guy a pack of smokes for a tm aug that he hasnt used since he bought it, and when i fire it up, it goes about 30 feet and craps out. i was wondering if anyone had any ideas about what could be wrong with it before i go into aex and drop a load of cash getting it fixed. supposedly it shoots 385 fps and is upgraded with a m110 spring. i tried messing with the hop up but it doesnt make any difference.

haha rule #1 about airsoft never let someone who dosnt know what they are doing work on a gear box like ME! lol sounds like maybe its hop issue.
hey i do kinda know what im doing. i leanred the hard way mine exploded on me when i took it apart, and i figured how to put it back together, and it worked fine. not like changing the spring is rocket science.
rap...thats not comforting since you worked on my gear box and my gears have gone to hell and back a few times...

did you loose the little spring that goes around the inner barrel in front of the hop? That'd do it
ill have to check that spring, and the o rings, but the guy i got it from failed his ASVAB so i wouldnt be surprised if theres alot of missing/damaged parts, and the front grip is missing too but thats easily fixed.

i got an idea, if any of you guys might be willing to help out a newbie, im gonna take it in to aex when i get some cash in a couple weeks, and maybe someone there can show me how to work on it without causing damage
