bill's right man, it's gonna be about a grand for a fairly kitted out M4, esp. if you buy parts new (so this may be an incentive to buy some parts like rail systems, scopes and stocks second hand to save $$$). Depends on your philosophy on internal upgrading too. Are you more of a minimalist that wants to get the most use out of all of your stock parts and use the least amount of upgrade parts? Or are you someone that wants to maximum performance and wants to put the best parts in your gearbox (that will work together the best)? Either way, can't wait to see your awesome custom!

+1 Agent. However I would end up selling those parts and peices that I remove, and use the resell funds towards new parts and mods. I was thinking of asking Andrew. However with AEX being overwhelmed, I don't think he'd be too happy with me calling or PMing him constantly about a AEG project

I work 10am - 7pm tomorrow. So I won't. And I don't have the money for upgrades at this point...however the Ambi mag release is taunting me so!

For $1.5k I suggest you buy a car and an LPEG. Drill some holes in the car windows (replaced with plexi-glass) to shoot out of, and you'll dominate at every SacAir game. That's the trick.

I was thinking that.....however....odds are I'd have to sit down with either you, Snoop, or Andrew for a entire day just to learn how to put it together

naw if you have the money to spend get a PTW max. If you want 3 round burst you will have to buy a built one. the SCK(systema challange kits) dont have 3 round burst.

I'm not criticizing his spending habits. I was playfully suggesting other $1500 airsoft ideas (all of which were sillier than spending it on an AEG).

John, on the Compatability with the PTW sets with other mags, conversion kits, etc, how good are they? Or is the replica excacty the same dementions that it'll take Real steel add-ods ( such as Rail systems and stocks)
