on march 22, I bought an airsoft ak 47 sniper rifle aeg with a velocity of 380 fps made by Golden Bow from airsplat.com. Haven't received it yet and expecting it to arrive in the beginning of april. Does Golden Bow have a good reputation?

to tell you the truth, it's other name was echo and it was tokyo marui compatible for upgrades and mags.

UH i've never heard of Golden Bow or whatever, so i think it sucks

I am not so sure that is a good investment,the down side of clones is the utter lack of quality control.Get your money back, and look around.

I think I'm goin to cancel the order. I just stumbled upon the same gun with the same velocity, but made by CSI. do you know if CSI has had a good reputation?

Beats me. go and ask the makers of the guns.

airsplat finds a real steal version of the gun and posts its history.

There is some legal problems right now with JG procucts and airsplat.

My boss got one of their scopes in for a trade in. Was alright. Don't know how their airsoft guns are.

I'm probably going to be flamed for saying this, but I think the "lower end" Chinese made AEGs have made great strides in recent months, some companies have actually taken the leap to release original products (albeit of not so great quality, such as the JLS SCAR-L) and companies like JG are actually putting out reasonably decent guns for the price. This is coming from someone who owns a bunch of TM guns, mind you, and I believe that in the very near future, the ChiMan (Chinese Manufacture as coined by a member of another D-board) guns will give companies like CA and ICS a run for their money, while TM will still continue to be the gold standard of stock reliability.

I was thinkin that too. I was only lookin for an mid entry level gun. I already have a clone m4 with an m203 shot gun grenade launcher by stunt studios (ss2) and it works perfectly fine.

i understand where your coming from lineman, but for me its more the fact i know i can trust companies like TM and CA. Chinese companies are more hit and miss, with a lot more miss

hmm, never heard of stunt studios before, but I may just be ignorant beyond belief... Bottom line is, the choice is yours and when you make a purchase in airsoft (or any purchase I suppose) you are accepting the consequences that will follow, be they positive or negative. Get what you want.

I'll just suck it in and give it a shot. Heck, if the rifle isn't good, it'll just be a new piece of my collection. by the way, if big 5 sporting goods still has it, youll still find the m4 i posted earlier lineman.

Actually, I bought a JG G36C and it worked just fine with .25g BBs, now it's still not CA, TM or anything close but it is real good for like $100.

Well i bought a JG W733 essentially same brand, i got it the day of expected delivery and i must say the only time it disappointed me was when the hop up cover broke during a game, and its range wasn't to great either. Recently the gun stopped working. Instead of trying to fix it im going to purchase an Slr. But i think if its a beginner gun for you, youll do fine.
