DMR or MG36 or CQB weapon

Mar 26, 2007 2:32am
Hey. Looking for a new weapon. Not sure what yet. The fire team I'm on has no Designated Marksmen or Support Gunner. I currently have a G36K that i was thinking of converting to a MG36, though I dont have a CQB weapon. I was thinking a TM AK Beita Spetsnatz for CQB. I was also thinking a M14 or even a VFC 416. Any recommendations?

wow man....get a grip on what you really wanna do. You just described three VERY different styles of play. Being a DM is far different than being a support gunner. You try that with a rifle ugpraded to 500 fps and your going to have a lot of black smoke coming from your gearbox.

It all depends on what you like.I would go with the m14 because you can use them in almost any situation.

Well. The reason I got the G36K was due to its adaptability. I can wait but I can also run. Depends on the situation. In regards to the DMR, I think I was just get a new rifle instead of upgrading my G36. Personally I dont think I like my G36K as a CQB it just feels somewhat awkward with the stock folded.

As far as cqb you have tons of options. Depends how much you want to spend really. Most people have either an m4 or a mp5. I have TM mp5a4 that i've had for almost 6 years, no problems and besides adding accessories to it all I've done is put a 100 spring in it, shooting 350. The thing rocks and shoots really far for so short of a barrel. So if your on a budget, mp5's are fun and cheap, but if you've got some money you want to blow you could build up a pretty sweet m4. But thats all opinion, it really comes down to whatever gun you think looks the coolest.
