Noob. Ill admit it right off the bat. But now to what really matters. Trying to install pachmayr grips on a tm p226. After working on it for 2 weeks, I am going crazy. To make things worse, I try to put the original plastic grips on, tried to shoot it, but the hammer wont fall down. Trigger moves, but hammer stays cocked. Id be willing to give someone some money to:
I tried to dremel the pachmayr grips as well with little to no success. I finally put the original grips back on and then put on the pachmayr combat slip on grips. Don't let the slip on fool you, it's not coming off once it's on. Heat it down with a hairdryer and get it on and when it cools off it's not going anywhere.
I dont have a dremel; I have been filing away with a Leatherman for seemingly forever. Almost have the back piece to fit. Just need an actual powertool to get to this place. And all this work would be pointless unless I can get the gun fixed.

hammer is cocked and wont come down. a small spring fell off and i didnt get a chance to see where it attached to. decocker will bring it down, but if you pull the trigger in double action, simply raises the hammer and leaves it there. hammer doesnt fall, so gun doesnt fire. in theory, its a fast fix, but i dont have another p226 i could refer to.
