I took my TM AK apart today to install a metal forward receiver. Everything is cool, except somehow I bumped/knocked the selector switch out of position. I put the piece (that connects directly to the external switch) back in what seemed to be the right spot.

one of the gears in there is possibly made to go in one way, and you probably didnt put it in exactly how it has to go or something.
[color=orange]Make sure the gears on the left side of the gearbox match first, then when you stick on the right side they match.

If realigning doesn't help, the notched spacer piece may have come loose from the selector lever (there suppose to be welded together). You can either try to resolder them back together or just get a new lever. I have a CA AK and had the same problem. I just got a TM lever and it works even better than when it was brand new.

Turns out I misaligned the teeth on the switch. I fixed it.
