CA CA25 burnt the motor

Apr 21, 2007 5:23am
Well I was pretty jazzed about my new CA25, so when I got home tonight I decided to dial in the scope. Well I turned the selector swtch to single and squezed the trigger and nothing. So I switched to full auto and nothing. I called AEX and spoke with Chris and he said to bring it in. Wel long story short the motor was burnt!!! So after discusing this with chris agreed to let me take my pick of new guns. None of the other sniper stuff they had really did anything for me so I got another CQB weapon well 2! I got a TN MP5 RAS and a KWA tan USP. Both seem good so far and the important thing when you squeze the trigger something actually happens....LOL I am gonna look around for a while for a "good" sniper rifle, I think a bolt action gun of some kind. I hope these work better then the CA25's do....FYI they seem to have probs according to Chris at AEX.

I dont like the scope/carry handle on the G36 series except for the one on the C model. I am going to get a bolt action springer sniper rifle, then just trick it out. I do really like th MP5's but this one is going to get all metal upgrades ASAP and a Metal aimpoint or ACOG. Once I get this done it will be pretty cool I think.
You should have just stuck with another CA SR-25 or had AEX upgrade the motor since it was bad. I'm sure Andrew, Trevis or Chris would have hooked you if you had asked about just keeping the SR-25 and just fixing the malfunctioning part.
I used to work in a bank... USED TO... apparently they don't like it when you take home samples.

+1 Ryan....didn't Shawn post a pict the other day, showing the fractures in a Systema gear box after the effects of useing a metal piston?

dont forgot though when u fix the gun to semi only it WILL jam. Ever been fireing you AEG on semi and had it not fire? then u switch it to dull and have it fire fine again? YA see that will happen when u rig that way. Im not really certain how to fix that. Maybe a decomression lever but i dont know how u would set that up. The only AEG i have ever seen be a usefull sniper is the PSG1 but even then its v5 or whatever number gear box is about as gay as liberachi. So ya its possible, i still say go with spring or gas but mainly spring.

I am NOT into the flaming thing at all. I never said anything other then the gun had issues and it was solved. Chris at AEX is an awesome guy and he took care of me very well. It is all fixed, so this should not get into a flame fest, period. It is just not good to do that to anyone regardless of what is going on. Take it private with the person/persons you may have an issue with. I always say, never say anything about a person on the net/behind their back that you would not say to their face....the end!
