mickey....i LOVE your car

this is retarded. Youhave to fill up before or after the 15th, and the oil company really doesn't give a shyt cause they have us by the nuts. America drives and no one wants to give that up so no matter the price we'll pay it. to be truly effective we would have to boycott fueling for an extended period of time. That would shut us down besides india and china are importing more oil than ever before. So dont gas up on the 15th if u want but it won't make a difference. By the way i dont remember prices dropping .30 cents overnight. I participated in the last one and saw 0 difference still tanked up the day before. lmao my .02

Hrmm...Exxon grossed $377.6 billion last year, with net earnings of $39.5 billion. This myspace gas-out will be lucky to get 10% of the myspace network to not gas-up that day, which assuming that everyone would have filled up that day with Exxon, would end up being $220 million dollars unearned...for the day. See the thing is, everyone needs gas and everyone who "gassed-out" is either going to gas up before, or gas up after. Either way, Big Oil gets their money. OPEC is just going to snicker at this effort.

Sorry, but STUPID. Chances are I won't fill up on the 15th, not because I will be participating, but because my car won't need to be filled. on any given day, the majority of the population already doesn't fill their tank. I fill my tank about every 5-7th day, so as a liberal estimate, I'm going to say that less than 1/4th the population (though it's probably more like less than 1/15 or so) actually fills their car on any given day. So whoopty-doo if you get 50% of the population to boycott... it'll make almost no difference.
I used to work in a bank... USED TO... apparently they don't like it when you take home samples.
