MP5 Shooting Very Short Distances at a low FPS.

Apr 22, 2007 11:38pm
Hi, i went to AEX the other day to chrono my MP5a4. It has an m4 sized systema tightborew/silencer, a classsic army stock gearbox excect w/a PDI 130%, and an ICS Turbo3000. So when i chronoed it, i expected around 370fps. I only got 270fps... So i asked the guy working there what was wrong, and he said it was probably my air seal. So he brought out a piston and cylinder and showed my how the compression should be. He told me that the piston should be hard to push when it is in the cylinder while blocking the air nozzle.

if the tappet plate wasn't installed right, it wouldn't feed any bbs.

make sure your barrels clean, not a likely problem, but it can contribute.

ya no tappet plate no feed the compression wont be enough to force the bb into the hop, maybe the bucking is torn not building enough compression?

check to see if the nozzle is correctly installed on the tappet plate. Theres a notch were the tappet plate should rest.

ya i fixed it. I forgot to put the air nozzle on that liitle notch... i attatched it directly to the head. :D Thanks guys!
