The Rise of the Clones
*sigh*
Gun control is not Crime control.
yeah only thing wrong w/ women from Japan is they put on Waaaaay too much make-up, if you don't know what I'm talking about watch a JP tv show or just surf the net about JP women and you'll be able to tell, most of their faces are snow white, and that's not because they're malnurished, makes me wonder what most of 'em look w/o make up (no offense of JP peeps, just telling it how it is)

I'm still interested in justifications as to why a certain vote is more realistic than all the other ones! A whole lot of people voted, but I've only seen a couple reasons posted. :?
Gun control is not Crime control.
Back on topic, how cheap does a clone have to be in order for you to not get the original? I was just looking at Poweredgeusa and they just rolled back the prices even more ($15-$20 off the already low prices). Add in the fact that it is $10 flat rate shipping and your going to only pay $70-$100 more than a clone for most aegs.
Brandon, I somewhat resent your statement about my AUG's internals... nothing, and I mean nothing was wrong with the internals other than the fact that everything was overlubed, which would've broken in with time. Again, shawn DID NOT have to open up the GB, he did it out of curiousity, he did not reshim the gearbox, the shim job he said was fine, so the gun would've shot 330 FPS out of the box. I don't claim that my JG AUG is better than the TM, but but you shouldn't make assertions about the gun's internals, the GB was fine out of the box.
My best advice for new airsoft players:
Didn't you say he changed out the hop bucking and cylinder?
yes brandon I did, however the gun was cycling just fine before I took it to shawn, like I said he was curious about how the internals looked and the only thing that was different was that they didn't use a full cylinder, the hop bucking looked fine I just had an extra TM bucking lying around and had him put it in b/c I felt like it. All I am saying is that the gun fired perfectly and the overlubing problem would've taken care of itself in time.
My best advice for new airsoft players:
Once again, thanks to Lineman for trailblazing through the dangerous frontier of inexpensive clones. :D
Gun control is not Crime control.
no need for thanks man, GB really sounds smooth, I'll have to chrono this when I can but ASGI.com chrono'ed it at 360 fps w/ AE .2s. Parts feel solid, the M16 should be getting a MBK put on it soon.
My best advice for new airsoft players:
i was going to put a ras on mine.
to be perfectly honest, in most airsoft games a rail unit will only make a gun heavier, you won't really need it as there's no need for lights/lazers/GLs, but if that's your thing, go for it.
My best advice for new airsoft players:
yeah i know, but it sure makes em look cool. but thats a long road ahead.
How is the over all construction quality of the M16?
outer barrel is metal, not a one piece. This is basically a copy of the TM M16A2 except for the removable carry handle of course, like my JG AUG the receiver's a bit on the thin side but looks like it'll do the job. Not much else to say about it except that the hi-cap that came with it's pretty cool, it's got the winding key/hole in addition to the wheel so winding is now made easier.

Interesting on the JG,lineman, consider the guarder M16a4 MBK that just came out,it has FN trades and looks nice.As for got two ARs,I think thats my limit.

FN M16 would be nice nick. I had a TM M16a2 about 4 years back, so I guess nostalgia got to me and had to get another M16... Already got a MBK for it, it'll be a proper A2, always like that look better anyways.

I wasn't thinking about multiple peeps that but good point.
I nominate Lineman to make a sticky thread about clone guns -- listing off clone brands and current general quality based on experience and the general word on the street. :)
Gun control is not Crime control.
I plan to get 2 more more AEG anyways, so $150 mininum order is no big deal. Plus I will get some cheap mags and CYMA CM030 batteries. Got the gun from there last time but the battery was sold out really fast.
what should be posted about them is what brands have "TM Compatible" parts. Helpful for those in need of a great donor for parts/conversions/customizations/projects. Also very helpful for those on budgets. Can't trust alot of the e-stores they don't always give out the pure facts

I sometimes check this out-
I always believed that the price of TM or other "High Tier" brands were way too expensive. Its not justified. 400 for some metal and plastic gears? fuck, my laptop was almost that price and its internal components are worth more and went under greater QC. Its just this pattern of male hobbies where they can charge you an arm and a leg for fun. I bet the profit margins are really high if companies like echo1 can release guns @ 1/3 the price with similar materials and still stay in business.
im totally with you on that one bordicon, my next purchase will be a clone for sure.
knew about the poinact place, except EVERYTHING that is decent is out of stock and they said that orders won't ship for another month.... it is definitely worth it.
