How surely do you want it destroyed? If you ABSOLUTELY want to be sure, take a sander and sand down the plates until there is no shine left. But unless you got something classified and/ or you're the main suspect in an illegal kiddie pr0n investigation (in which case off yourself now before someone else does like you deserve) a .308 should be sufficient. :)
