Just got a G&G L85A1 from AEX

I just got an L85A1 fromAEX. What a well built gun. very solid and very heavy. Uses standard M4 mags shot 390fps at AEX. has an actual working cocking lever..i.e. when you fire it cycles back and forth like the real gun. Was able to put a 9.6v 2000 mAh battery. I will try it out this weekend. It had a very impressive rate of fire at AEX on 8.4v so the 9.6 2000 should work pretty good I hope... There is only 4 pieces of plastic on it. the rest is metal and just friggin stout!!!

EDIT: Nevermind. Sounds awesome -- so it's like an AK auto-back?
Gun control is not Crime control.

Yea I just went on redwolf.com and they said to disable it though as it drains battery power and can break...So I disabled it and works great with 9.6v battery....

ive read that the G&G gears on those are VERY unstable, so they reccommend not fireing long auto streams just short 3/5 shot bursts, just something ive read

Personaly, I'm staying away from G&G. After I traded my G&G UMP to Shawn, he cracked open the gear box and a butt load of parts needed replacement, the gun was only a month old, and used in two games.

"Our tests at Redwolf indicate that you should disable (unlatch) the blowback mechanism for full auto use. Full auto will break the blowback latch, of which G&G includes some spares with the gun. Keeping the blowback function for semi-auto use proves fairly reliable."
