Well curiosity struck me today during a study break and decided to completely strip my gun down the gearbox just to see how it falls apart. I can't seem to be able to take the gearbox out of the lower receiver though on my M4. Can anyone help me? I've got all the pins that I can see out and it seems like the motor is keeping the gearbox in. When pushed, it springs back so i can't be attached to the gears directly.. I don't intend on opening the gearbox just yet, but want to take it out so I can run the battery wires to the back of the gun for my M16 stock.
