Well I have a pistol fetish right now....I just went to AEX and they had the TM SOCOM Mk23 pistol so I just had to get it! you can not hear it shoot. the silencer that comes with it actually works. It is typical TM plastic, although it has very few metal parts it seems strong enough also this one is Non Blow Back. It uses r134a gas. I think this would be an awesome nite time CQB weapon that you wont hear coming...period!!! Combine this with nightvision and bang bang your dead....lol This one shot 320fps out of the box. It is very light weight with most of the weight in the mag and the silencer. I do not think that this weapon would be one to take too much abuse but, for the novelty and night time CQB w/light or NV I think it would rock. I think this gun is a big winner! Oh yea TM tapes over the trades back in japan I guess....so just peel off the black tape and you have real HK trades on it.....bonus!!! :D

Yup... mine accounts for about 80 percent of my kills... and most of em are from within 5 yards - undetected.

How long have you had yours? have you done any nighttime CQB with it yet? I did not think they could make a gun this quite.

nah theyre not that quiet. Theyre quiet if you have aegs going off around you. You can hear the trigger pull from pretty far away. It makes a loud click sound everytime you pull it all the way.

It's my standard sidearm, so yes, i've done nighttime cqb with it. The lam unit is useless - gives your position away more than anything else. I usually carry the gun without the silencer, but i keep the latter in a pouch for recon/surprise assaults. If and when i can flank, i find decent cover, and start picking hostiles off one at a time. It's a great all around weapon, except for the size. It's relatively large, and with the suppressor, it's almost the length of an mp5, so... yeah, you have to be selective when and where you use it.

for the SOCOM its CW but I am not sure on the thread if it is 14mm or not. I will be at BK tomorrow at 0630 to meet some other guys for the game.

kinda rare to find them nowdays. the GBB ones arent too bad, cept the slides tend to crack

im sorta a beginner in airsoft i have a jin peng aeg famas, and foriegn legions famas, and i wanted to know should i buy the tm socom mk23, cuz i saw i ton red wolf and i cant stop lookin at it please reply soon

Hmmmm. Yeah... i get about 80% of my kills with my pistol... not bad for a gun i spent 50 bucks on, huh?

does it come with the orange tip?

On the gun yes but NOT on the suppresor.
