Its not hard to get into you have that but it does take sacrifice most arent willing. This is getting into another topic though that I reallydont care about. Being in the military, you really have to do it to understand it. Yes it changes your outlook, and you dont realize that until you have been there. Civilians and soldiers really are different people as much as they are the same.

My doctor told me two months ago that I'm obese. Not over-weight, I'm passed that point. I'm in the next group up - obese-. 6'1" 220lbs. If I were to be at my target weight I would be 175 and rail thin. Granted I could take a little off the gut, I'd be happy and in shape at 195-200.

well lets see, i weigh 245-255 pounds and im 6' tall, the Navy said i was 50 pounds over weight. My BFI is my fat is at 12% which IMO is darn good. I weight lift 2-6 times a week, and i bike 20 miles in a sitting either on machine on my street. Now Im also recovering from the flue in which i LOST 22 freaking pounds in a week so now im at like 222 pounds. Either way im not fat nor am i out of shape but a NAvy (joke o doctor) told me I was gross over weight. So ok, ranodm rant over.

[quote="TheStone"]Portly fellows, such as myself, know that they're overweight. We know how to fix the problem. We just aren't motivated or we find something else to do with our time that sounds more fun than burning fat.

Let's not start taking cheap shots at Drill SGT's now. I've been a DS for several years now and I take great pride in the soldiers I train. I treat those kids the same way I would want my kids treated in a BCT environment. I know a few apples can spoil the bunch but let's not paintbrush all DS's the same way.
