Beach Insertion

May 8, 2007 7:01am
I was wondering if a admin or host may be willing to hold a beach insertion, beachhead defense game. I know the western portion of Nam field has the river there, and although perhaps not the best landing site, It may still work. Perhaps a scenario similar to D-Day, with a force of "paratroopers" pushing to the river, and a small force inserting from the river, with defenders in between. I do understand that most of us have put hundreds of dollars into our weapons so we would have to come up with a way to keep are weapons dry, ensure their safe with some caution, or just have a weapons cache somewhere along the beachhead. I know my fire team would be willing to go with the boats, SOF possibly, while the majority could be airborne and defensive forces. I dont know, I guess if it gets enough attention it could work out.

The Feather River moves at a pretty good clip....don't miss your beach, or you will be landing in Sac......
Seek the Narrow Gate, for the path is broad and the gate is wide that leads to destruction.

Is there actually any friggin' beach? From what I've seen, it looks like a cliff covered in blackberry bushes. Not very hospitable.

My boats could handle it I think. Just the guys in it may be the ones hurting. Get pinned in the boat by a SAW, its gonna be hard to seek a defensible position. But I would definately be down. Or, as I was thinking last night, throw on my wet suit and just run around as a combat swimmer.
