well I haven't been here long but in the short amount of time I was here I owned 2 AEGs and a pistol. I'm 14, I'm asian, I have asian parents. they are tightwads, found my gun today, yelled at me, hit me, spanked me all that good stuff, made me quit airsofting, and are making me sell my stuff(not gonna do this part haha), I've only been to a few games with friends but I enjoyed every second of it. maybe ill go to a sacairsoft game occasionally, ttyl guys...^_^
May 11, 2007 7:10am

May 11, 2007 7:12am

May 11, 2007 7:25am

Bill, I'm not saying that hitting one's children is right, but in certain cultures, it is the norm, when a parent thinks that a child's made a mistake, he/she believe that the best recourse is to physically punish the child so that the child will remember his mistake. I had a similar experience, but going to somewhere like social services will simply exacerbate the problem. Again, not saying that hitting a kid is right at all. It's a tough situation.

I know what you mean Bill. Part of my dad's family is from Vladivostok/Sakhalin and boy do they have tempers!

My parents were the same. Tried to beat me up to when I was 16. Stopped when I got to be the same size cause they knew I would fight back. Talking to asian parents doesn't work very well. Normally whatever the head male says is what goes.

No kid should ever "stand up" to their parents for disciplining them. I could see if he was a jerk like my grandpa and did it for fun, but my dad manhandled me everytime I got out of line and looking back I have no problem with it. I have a high respect for authority and better moral judgement because of it. Advising this kid to "fight back" is severely irresponsible.
God Bless You

Someone said hitting is cultural. Yes it is but it still depends on the degree. Yea if you did something behind your parents back you deserve to get smacked, smacked - not punched. If they full out knock you in the head or do other weird abuse then thats someone to either get help, other option is to just dominate the piss out of one - but it will most likely just come back..

My Dad is 100% German, and he used to beat me - until i finally knocked him out.

rcas he's refering to my M4SD which I bought off of snoopy, your s-system is long gone bro...not very a good aeg if yo can catch my drift.
May 11, 2007 6:25pm
yeep, I was drooling over that M4 SIR for the longest time, you should've heard it with a systema turbo motor in there... drain the battery too fast though.

yeah, is it just me or is this a mid-eastern european abuse a little too common?
May 11, 2007 7:17pm
yeah it is too common...the only reason why I can't airsoft is because my parents think that playing with gun is going to make me a violent person, that is sterotypical which of course isn't fair. They won't give me a chance to prove them wrong and they always bring up Virginia Tech, very retarded excuse to not letting my airsofting =P, and lineman I'm taking off the crane stock and trading it for bombermans m16 full stock, hopefully it'll still be small enough to cqb...what do you think? =p

some of the older players like myself like to recommend that younger players bring their parents out to a game and meet the other members and Admins. If they see you are hanging out with some responsible folks they might change their minds.

you shouldn't have messed with the stock in the first place. Full stock will be fine as well for airsofting, easier to change out the battery.
My best advice for new airsoft players:
May 11, 2007 9:27pm
yeah that was my mistake in the first place but if I put a full stock on(M16 full stock) on my M4 will it still be short enough and light enough for cqb?and will it look ugly?=P
May 11, 2007 9:35pm
well don't worry about the length too much, it'll be a M4. What's more important is reliability, as in when you pull the trigger bbs fly out, and with snoop's work that'll happen everytime, the full stock will make sure that you don't mess up the battery again , which is good.

is there any performance differences with a crane stock and a full stock?=P
