no, the battery will just be easier to put in. you should stick to a 8.4v battery, your gun will last longer.

nothing wrong with a 9.6v, but a 8.4v battery will put less stress on your gun.

um negative ghostrider it worked just fine when i gave it to you, maybe a slight motor adjustment if the motor screw backed out some but i shot it the day before i brought it to you and it was fine AND you used it that weekend and told me it was honkey dorey and working great. I still have the pm in my inbox from 5/5 and you said it "worked like a charm"... then you started asking advice on upgrading it so i can only assume that since you now say it wasn't working right that you or one of your friends tried to open it to see what was in it and did something unknowingly. Like if you took the motor out maybe not running the wires right. Either way you never contacted me saying there was something wrong. Where did the gun go?

I'm sorry man i had no idea there was anything wrong with the gun till i got home tonight and saw the thread. I wish you'd told me there was a crack or something and i would have taken a look and if there was ANY way i could have missed it i would have gotten it fixed for you or refunded the money for the gun and taken the gun back. I posted an apology to you and snoopy on the thread bomberman pointed me to.
