What do you guys think of the tm type 89? I like the idea of 3 rnd burst. Bonus is the bipod and scope mount. I think it uses smallish battery though...

poweredgeusa.com, cheapest place you'll find it new, I had mine and loved it to death, stock is a bit shorter than a M16A2 stock, but is comfortable. What else to say? don't upgrade it too much, it's a new GB design not all the upgrade parts have come out yet, it's got mad range stock anyways. It's a TM, you can't go wrong with one. Foregrip creaks a bit, but feels fine with the battery in there, stock you can only fit a stick battery but you can get a 8.4v 1400 mah intellect pack that'll last forever, take m4 mags, I can't say enought good things about it, oh bipod's kinda useless, but oh well. mechanical 3 round burst oh so sweet, along with the STAR FNC is ONE OF VERY FEW AEGS on the market that does that (PTWs uses electric switch circuit, so does the old SIGs). Buy it keep it stock and it'll serve you well.

nah my fault completely I've handled the little beasts, feels so very nice and sturdy, only thing I got put off by was the price tag, but hey it's airsoft, the addiction's worst than crack. Hope to see ya out there man I'll show ya my new TM USP.40 AEP

lineman66, how do you like the pistol?

lol eric, you saw the range on that thing when ya shot it... shoots 210-220 FPS w/ .2s, just proves that you don't need extreme muzzle velocity to achieve great range. Ever since the Japanese parliament passed a law restricting how hard airsoftguns can shoot in Japan (.89 Joules?), people over there have been trying to come up with other ways to get more range, like a better designed hop up unit.

Actually snoopy upgraded the spring on it and I think he said it is shooting 270-280 now, maybe higher I can't remember. He still has it...thought I hope to get it back soon...hint hint...snoop :P
