Yea, but thats not mentioning a torn Half-Shaft boot. What I may do is go into Autozone or some place, get a two peice ( or some other replacement ) boot, and put it over the torn one. Easy fix, but only temporary.
Roit shield huh? Thats going to make you a huge target and limits your moblity, as well as reloading with a weapon.Anyone can flank you, the shield doesn't make you superman. I mean anyone who has been out there enough times know how to get in the building,if I were a betting man, my money would be on Johny and Andrew.
obviously you dont know him.
Besides police departments, the only use i've seen of a ballistic shield has been by KSK operatives as the extracted VIPs and the shields were for the VIPs not themselves, and they did not use them in a CQB situation, once they extracted the VIPs from the building, the used the shields on the VIPs to try and counter any sniper fire they may have taken while extracting to the helo about 50 yards away.

point being, unless you've seen ballistic shields being used in Iraq to clear some buildings (nope), or you're extracting VIPs to a helo, then I would say ballistic shields are clumsy bullet magnets that limit your peripheal vision (vital for CQB). my 2 cents.

This is a bad idea for a couple reasons, the major one is your age, I am sorry but if your wielding a SHIELD and I shoot you in the tooth because thatâs the only shot I have, Well straight up I am not paying for your dental work, Second is because of your age, are you really going to be able to effectively wield the shield while maintain a tactical position to take a shot at someone? No I don't think you would be able too, Also your lack of common since toward the questions that my fellow brothers have answered makes me your either not ready or have not comprehended the facts stated.
God save us everyone will be burning inside the fires of a thousand suns.
Just a warning for people with this idea in their head: be prepared to get your shooting hand shot to hamburger. I can't imagine someone using a shield in a CQC airsoft battle without them leaving the field with some bloody, red fingers and knuckles.

Blind fire: shooting from behind an object blindly, I.E not aiming, like sticking a pistol in a window and shooting it blindly. Every time I have seen some one use some thing as a ballistic shield it happens. I have seen guys at the CQB field pick up plywood and move against the large building all you can see is a pistol coming out and shooting. Not to mention the fact that the guys "shield" is absorbing 200-300 rounds of aimed RIFLE fire. Not very realistic.
But aren't ballistic shields about the size of an average man? So even if he had one... people behind him would be pretty exposed. Would only really be useful in closed corridors or outside a building along a wall.

I'm about to get my butt laughed out of here. But my team had one, solid plywood with a window (more like an 8x2 slit made out of 3 layers of plexi) we used it at AZ (don't worry we rented out the place). We had tested out the window at a range of about 15 ft and we rated it to ~10 rounds at stock FPS. The design was such that the window could be replaced easily.
thats really cool how original that is Tommyknocker

aww how cute. needs some more kalashinikov imo.
C) While most people think that shots to the weapons must not count. SacAirsoft rules that anything held by the person is an extension of him/herself. Therefore, if a playerâs weapon is shot, they should call theirselves out.
i mean i would like jump and yell WTF WAS THAT OMFG.
If you are going to brign back a month old thread it should be worth it! Gun hits dont count.
