Convert M40 to gas

How would I go about changing a M40 to a gas M40? Where does the gas go and all that shat?

What will be the fps if it is gas?

anywhere from 400-550ish. depends on how much gas is in the chamber and how much or how many times you shoot it anywhere from 10 shots to 27 shots is what i got with mine before.

Sweet. Is it easy to chamber the round and can you bolt it fast? How do you adjust the HOP?

hop is fixed on the M40A1s..need to get an adjustable hop chamber and new inner barrel.

The M40XB comes with mounts right? What is the name of the inner barrel?

The XB is better than the A1 right? Can you fit a bipod on the M40XB?

you can fit a bipod on any gun. just need the correct bipod attachments.

Tell me if this is right. To get the M40 to shoot over 550fps (say 600fps) would this work?

Whats up with you guys and extreme fps? the aps im using shoots like 415-410fps and i do fine.... karabiner does like 470's with 134a on a hotday... you dont need the extreme fps... get like 480fps man. thats enough.

How an I get The M40XB to shoot over 550fps. Do I need a HOP if it isnt gas? WTF is a barrel spacer to? Is the Classic Army M24 any good with gas?

Will a bipod for an M40A1 fit on the XB?

providing that you have the right sling studs on the rifle...a bipod will mount just fine on the XB...

So the M40XB is an all around good gas and spring gun? What about the new Tanaka M700, is that a good gas gun?

M700s are nice, thats what i use. FPS and range is crazy cool! so far im pleased with the M700.

been chronoed at 650 FPS with .2s and green gas ...prolly around 90 degrees

Tanaka M700's are quick to sell...most sites have them back ordered...so I guess yea..e-mail retailers see if they have them in stock...otherwise you risk waiting a full month maybe longer just to see if you can get a hold of one of these...
