Airsoft ELIte mp5 version question
are the AE mp5s that come with a turbo 3000 motor the new versions? Because 2 yrs ago i bought an AE mp5 v3.5 from airsplat and it came with a turbo2000 motor. Now on airsplat, it says that they come with a turbo 3000 motor, does this mean its the new version?
yes they are. And if they are like the 2006-2007 model ICS M4's they are great guns! I have an 2007 ICS M4 with probably 30-40 k shot through it is never jams shots 350+fps and is very well built. Incase you did not know the Airsoft elite guns are tricked out ICS guns...fyi

They come stock with aluminum piston heads and cylinders...change those out instantly.
yep change that...but I would change that out on any gun... :D

AE mp5's are just ICS mp5's with a metal piston, m120, and I believe a metal piston head. They are NOTORIOUS for cracking gearboxes...

yes any ics/ae product with the turbo3000 motor are their latest products.

If you plan on using an 8.4v with the T3k forget about it. I have an ICS AK and since that stock is meant for an 8.4v I swapped it out for an EG1k. The EG1k is FAR superior at 8.4v. You need at least 9.6v for the T3k (at 11.1v the T3k is god-like though). At 9.6v the T3k is a bit better than the EG1k, but uses more power.

I use an intellect 8.4v 3600 and a 9.6v 2000 in my M4 and they works fine...I cant speak for the MP5 however...

alright, thanks for the help, so i should replace both my piston head as well? Whats wrong with the piston head?
aluminon piston and piston heads destroy guns. no way around it, they simply DO IT.
i think i found your problem! its airsoft elite. i think the quickest remedy is to buy a complete tm mp5 gearbox with internals. good luck.
