Crane Stock on a 249?

Yup just heard about those the other day. Apparently the cost on them is around 800-900 bucks. And no, not available to civilian market.

All right. Just talked to a guy. Said that the new stocks add some weight to the weapon but help to balance it out when firing from the shoulder. Apparently on the Para models (the guy in the pic is Airborne) the retractable stock, when fully extended, distributed all the weight to the front even more effectively decreasing the 249's accuracy.

new gas regulator on the m249? though they did away with a regulator and went with a fixed set up. Look at that beast of a bipod!

sorry. the original stock on the para variant caused the weapon to be somewhat unbalanced, the crane stock helps to relieve this problem.

ok, to be fair, the response in his email was about one sentence long, so i'm sure there is far more to the crane stock than just solving a balance issue. convoy ops and CQB would definetly be a couple of them. i just hadn't seen it before. thanks for the info though.
