This is kind of way off base but for those of you that follow the energy crisis that plauges our world do you think that in our lifetime's that that the advent of cold fusion will come?

Personally, i think that nuclear power is the way to go. I mean go pro environment power sources, but size wise, nuclear power is what has to happen.

slightly off topic but funny.... at work for Sac State Campus PD we got a call of a possible 5150 in the chem building. Turned out it was a well dressed white male who claimed to have discovered neuclear fussion in his blender (which he had with him and looked like clear margaritas with melted ice). The officers told him to shove along.

I think cold fusion is very unlikely. We've yet to even make "hot" fusion work in a practical manner. It always takes in more energy than it creates. I think nuclear is the way to go right now, safe, reliable, efficient, and established. The only problem is getting the greenies out of the way.

That was a RUSSIAN plant not a US run plant. And as far a 3 mile island that was a US problem. when was the last time you heard of a problem with a Nuke Plant?
