2 Questions about batteries

Sep 27, 2003 7:45pm
I have just bought a G36c. I read on www.sd-unit.com that there is a 9.6volt 2000maH battery that can be used in my stock gun. I am fairly new to airsoft but my understanding was that a 9.6v battery could damage my stock gun, I would have to upgrade my motor/gears to use a 9.6 battery?

hmm G36's battery storage out right sucks. umm you can use a 9.6 but since your "fairly new" to airsoft..dunno what that means, but if you are heavy on the trigger its not good, you may end up stripping your gears and having to replace them. anyways all you can do is find a custom'd battery that will fit in the stock G36's handguard. i would go with like a 8.4v 1500 - 1800 mAh.

if u want 2 spend some cash, u can buy a large forgrip for the G36C that allows it 2 hold a bigger battery. around 150 dollars methinks.....check around.

check airsoftextreme, my brother uses 9.6's in his g36 from there. still think there are some mods you have to do anyway.

stick with snoop dog says I have stripped gears 3 times and I have only been playing for like 6 months. From using 9.6 batteries and I may be a little heavy on the trigger  get the metal bushings and have snopp or viper put them in for you they won't charge that much .

tactical tape is awesome! I bet you can use tactical tape to run the AEG itself...LoL...just have to rub it a few gazibazillion times... Hey Erik...if you're not using the 36c...bring the 8.4 3000 and use that in the M15 instead of the 9.6 2400m batt...

I ran a 9.6 in my stock m4 ris for a year and nothing ever broke. I have no idea what you guys do to strip your gears and stuff.
