What AEG 2 Buy
Im looking for my first AEG to buy and i really like the MP5 and the M4 but i wanna find one that is realiable but also not to expensive. i looked at the ICS but people say they break down alot. i can either get a Ford and replace parts or buy a honda for more and repair less. any suggestions for a newb buying a gun?
Im not exactly the most experienced person here but my oppion is that for a first gun you should get something that is very reliable. For one because you dont know how to repair a gun that well. Second because no one like a gun that falls apart. I have an AK and my brother has an M4 SR16 and they are very reliable havent broken anything yet I also have an MP5 it breack frequently. So m4 are reliable and AKs (in my opion) are even more so

i plan to buy from a US store but i dont really know what website. cause local shops are too expensive imo. Also if i could find a local guy selling one i would feel better buying from someone in the area so i could get a feel for the gun.
Local shops are too expensive? Uh, you haven't been to Fortress Hobby, have you? They've got the best prices in town, TM guns, and a good selection.
best prices in the US...lol
HOLY CRAP GUYS thanks...i will probably buy from them..i was mostly talking about Norca...their AEGs are like 300 and GBB are 40 bucks over online prices Thanks again
Id go with the Ak beta, good metal feel, reliable, fun to shoot. Just my 2 cents

honestly, most stock guns perform the same and so long as you get a tokyo marui, you'll get a good solid gun that won't give you many problems. if you want to upgrade, there are other things to consider but honestly, go with whatever you think looks cool or whatever would make you happy. no matter what gun, you can get it working however you want if you just put some time into it.
What's a signature?
I'm a version 3 or version 6 gearbox kinda guy. I don't trust power upgrades to version 2 gearboxes, not even the "reinforced" ones. I don't go over an M100 in the V2 gearbox, but I'm running an M140 in my V3 AUG. To help you out...
forgot version 7

Yeah yeah. I'll believe it when it hits the shelves. I remembered it, but I didn't want to bring up a gearbox that nobody actually has yet. Until I actually have one in my hands, it's just a rumour to me.
IM not the most expirenced but i have owned an ak beta and mp5 and my firiends has had m4s... most of the time...but my first gun was the mp5 it shot good but felt plasticy. the ak shoots better to me and feels les plasticy and m4s shoot nice if they have the right stuff in them. but i dont realli like the v2 gearbox in them. i would recomend either the ak or mp5 or your first gun. just dont try to take apart the ak apart by urself i uuh lost track of screws and had to have ronnie fix it :-D wut a stupid newb problem i kno but just learn from experience :-D
AKBS I love that thing! Big bat, compact, nice wieght, lots of metal, solid feel, reliable, comes with a hicap and shoots well stock.

As stated above, most AEG's are relatively the same. No huge advantage or disadvantage is had by any single AEG. Version 2 or Version 3 to me really makes no differance unless you are really going to put some high power into the gun, a version 2 will do just fine. If it has a version 3 then even better. Barrel length does play a role, but not by much.
Ray's got the MOVES!
my friend has got an akbs with an upgraded spring (350fps) and fuse removal and the thing shoots solid and you can feel the reliablity. The mp5 series does feel plasticy, but its a nice lightweight gun, and is reliable, anyways you can always get a metal body later :D

Can you explain the price range of what you consider expensive? Because to me a brand new CA rifle is decent, a TM at overseas price is cheap, and Top Support weapons are expensive.
Basically what i seem to hear is that ICS is a company to stay away from. And since i have no experience with an AEG if it broke i would have no idea how to fix it. i was looking at the MP5 YoUnG~MaRiNe has for sale but from what i have heard about ICS i wouldnt risk buying it..even i was cheaper. and the M4 looks more appealing. i will go cheak 1 out at the store and buy online.
I used to have an mp5 a4 with metal body. Solid as a rock.. harhar
yeah, thats what I got now, mp5a4 with systema motor and gears, and an m100, and a metal body. Great gun, solid and shoots farther than a mother. I do like my friends akbs though.
