I banned this guy for posting up stupid sh it.

What do yoou guys think of this stuff and the other crapp that was on that thread? I think it is funny but is this the place for this kind of thing. The site will go to sh it if we keep this up. We have underage kids viewing this stuff. Ok I know they can go anywhere and find this but I do not want to be a part of it. I sure as hell do not want to go to work and see this stuff it would be my ass. I like to able to tell me relatives that they can show thier kids our site. But not if this sh it stays on. I do not want my familly to see this kind of crap and to know that I am associated with it.

Did they atleast get a warning before being banned? If Andrew, Blackice, and the others can post racist stuff but they get banned for it that sends a really bad message IMO.

they shouldn't put that stuff up that is the point. but at least they played with the wording a little.

I definitely think only a warning. Many of us hopped on that bandwagon. If you felt that it was inappropriate then a pm'ed warning to myself and anyone else posting in that thread should have taken place.

man, I sitting here, and I'm still a little bothered over this. If we're concerned about what kids read on this site, then everyone with an inappropriate sig, rank or avatar either needs to banned or warned to change. These two guys did nothing extreme enough to warrant a ban without warning. Are they guilty of being distasteful? Sure, but so am I, and so is about 90% of on this site. If the consensus is that this type of action warrants a ban, then ban me for what I posted, ban Andrew for the same, ban all of us that participated in what we considered a little fun. It was light and loose, and nobody was flamed, I've heard worse at actually games with kids present. Ban them too.

John I hear you. You are an admin if anyone else posted that stuff up I they would be history. But I know you guys have fun with it and it is cool. On the other hand, I pull that up at work and I am toast. Especially those dumb asses and thier aim messages. hell yeah I thought it was funny but does it belong here. On the field in person I am the most foul mouthed guy I know. Who talks smack about everything and nothing is sacred. But on here it is diferent.Whenever someone writes something it comes across different. I am saying we cannot let stuff like ths happen.

I just have a real issue with folks getting banned or deleted with no warning. Unless the offense is extreme and harmful I believe a warning should be required first, then a consensus of admins should decide whether to ban that person. It should be a ban, and not a deleted account. I also feel that if anyone feels it necessary to ban someone they should also post up right away that they are responsible for the ban and why.

Sorry had to step out for a minute. I'm posting this here rather than the Deleted Accounts thread because they overlap. If we striving to make this a kids/pre-teen friendly site then we need to understand that many kids/pre-teens are just plain annoying. I think we all were at some point in life (I've just nevered moved on). That means we need to show tolerance when they act up, or get "annoying". That means guiding them with advice, not deleting their accounts. If they continue to be "annoying" then we get a consensus and ban them. If we arbitruarily (sp) ban folks that annoy us then this becomes a very lonely site...
