Echo 1 vs JG (M4)
At first the JG seems like a better gun than the Echo 1 because it is cheaper and has a higher FPS. I was researching and people say the spring on the JG is too strong on the internals. People also clame that the Echo 1 internals are better built than the JG. Which gun do you think is better?
Not very many of us have a lot of experience with the clones yet. I have heard good things about the JG's but I have not looked at one yet for myself.

from what ive heard the jgs and the echo 1s are asembled in the same manufacturing plant but the echo 1s have tighter quality control.....

Higher FPS does not me a Better quality gun. And from what I've read, Echo and JG are the same company with the same weapons. ECHo is just the US re-brand of JG

ahh right wrong and wrong. Echo 1 is an importer and buys guns from jg and rebrads them with different boxes and downgraded springs, echo1 also adds a manufacturer warranty but to my knowledge no one has succesfully been able to make them honor it. Other than that the internals are identical "obviously". Both have very high quality gears (said to be comparable to stock CA gears), the newest jg armalites feature metal spring guides as well as metal bushings (not sure if echo has bought and rebranded the newest version yet) . Everything ive heard about the jg clones so far has been fantastic, out of all the clone companies out there they by far and away have the highest quality control. My advice to you would be get the jg, the internals of the newest version can take the 360-380 fps the push stock no problem, the only thing echo has to offer is a falacious warranty and unnecesarry downgrade, not to mention the fact that theres no guaranty the echo1 your getting is the newest upgraded jg.

"Hard work never killed anybody, but why take a chance?"
from what i've read from various sources airsoftmode is on the money.
What's a signature?
if you thought my M16 was alright ya should've tried shooting my AUG... thing's got mad range and only shooting at 340.
My best advice for new airsoft players:
Andrew and I were talking about this at the shop today. I think If the gearboxes can hold up, some of the better "clones" might be a good start for a custom gun. Some run only $100, not bad for a compleate gearbox and motor to build on.

Exactly IF...I'll wait and see how they are doing in a year... A lot of people seem to think when they buy a gun and it does not break in a week it is the best one ever made. I want to see one of these clones put out 100k bbs with out a gear box failure(not a gear failure) before i start screwing around with one.

i just checked out some echo1's in modesto (the g36c) and it feels like a Tm and it shoots the same fps like my TM g36c. the echo1 g36c is stock while my TM g36 was upgraded (just spring and bushings). Also, if you compare the two the echo1s have a cleaner look to them
I'll keep everyone updated, oh and btw if no one's noticed there's a company called D-boys that released a Full metal M4 SD, with a crane stock and one piece hop unit, cost in HK is about $120, lol.

ill be picking one up soon cause well im bored and what not, ill keep it stock and let u all know how it works in a few months im going to punch bb;s out of it like a mad man have run the gears on a electron micrcscope next to some stock TM and CA and looks for cracks, tolerance issues all that, same with everything else in the box. And yes i have accses to all that sh it my dad builds heart pumps.
I have a JG M733 and it sound and shoot nice. Pretty accurate provided that you cleaned the barrel.
ya i know but why do it the panssy way when u can do it the manly way haha. Ya my Dad wants to go over all that stuff to so yay lol. Im really interested to see what findings i can come up with. Maybe just maybe we will find out that these guns arnt that bad, but at the same time we all want santa to be reall and sex to be cheap but hey its life.
Santa is not real
My JG tacticool AK should be here next week. I'll write a review comparing it to newer CA's and a TM.
I'm holding one in my hands right now Adam, did you get the full or folding stock version, I hope you got the full, heard the folding stock one doesn't lock the stock.
My best advice for new airsoft players:
Full stock FTW, I only buy full stocks.
read a review on a filipino site that also share my fears about a bad run of AKs. Externals are not impressive, but fires fine, bit on the screechy side (like a CA lol), cheaper than CA, and will probably still last longer.

i'm not hating on CA AKs, just CA guns in general, and this is coming from a guy who own several CAs. For the money, unless if it's a unique model that they produced (G3A3 for example), it's cheaper to go with ChiMan guns, and it'll last longer.

ok guys, I e-mailed Shorty to see what they think of this and this is what they say...
