I hate uavs, I keep hearing some people say thaey will end the era of manned fighters and bombers, I don't think thats true in my opinion. They still have yet to change the qualifications to be allowed to become a pilot for one,its mostly guys with prior flight experience.

Now dont get me wrong, and F-22 is definitely way cooler. And the dogfighting while sitting behind a desk thing is way out in the future like at least 50 years with the length it takes us to develop aircraft. Though there is a small chance that there will always be a time and place for manned aircraft. So I do and don't like the idea of all this but, it is for the better.

It depends on what you are talking about. Air to air combat, close air support sure. But they are right about striking targets of opportunity. The drones' ability to loiter for long periods of time on station is a great asset. If a target of opportunity pops up it's much quicker to strike with the drone that it would be to have to scramble fighters/ bomber/ cruise missiles or vector in a manned aircraft.
