So I know the whole Apple vs. PC battle is like the TM vs. CA thing but with the iPhone coming out in a few weeks I want to know if the sacair community is excited for the iPhone's revolutionary new take on hand held electronics or if you think this is just another over hyped piece of technology.
So, does anyone use a phone for talking anymore?

Sh*t -- everything that has to do with Apple nowdays, especially anything that comes in contact with bullsh*t iTunes. It's all rubbish. Drag & drop hard drive style for the win!
Gun control is not Crime control.

haha i've already got an HTC wizard with a ROM i cooked myself. If the iPhone is like a wizard or a hermes with the extra iFeatures (you like that? I'm gonna trademark it) i'll look into it

ya but i've played with both and i can't justify the extra money for the extra performance... its just not worth that much more for a 400 mHz processor and a little extra memory. My wizard is overclocked to 260 as it is and its just as snapy as the hermes
I'm going to buy a Brick to make a statement...

Its got the power of Mac OS X built in. The phone will also let you download your own programs into it too.
Man...some of the things i've seen from Engineers who've walked into our store.....unfortunatly I can't tell ya because most of the features aren't going be released on it. but one thing i saw I gotta say, is that it would be perfect for airsoft.
see thats what pisses me off... theres other features but they won't be released. Its like the ipod... room for so much more but its just a tiny screened do little device. Almost like they knew the iphone was coming out so they left the ipod videos with small screens.
The problem is there were no developers for the iPod. Apple is now looking for developers for the iPhone to make it better.
yes, but the current tools that apple has given developers are very low-powered, the 2nd generation iphone may be ok, but the one coming out in 18? days has very limited capabilities, no flash, no mms, plus the AT&T internet is horribly slow, unless they can find a way to unlock it to other sp's it'll just be another flop, like apple tv.
